It’s been a whirlwind last few months – lots going on, so much so that I have missed the first few contests of the Pipe Band season! However, that was remedied last weekend when we jumped down the M8 to Paisley for the British Pipe Band Championships.
This was the first year of three, where the contest is to be held in Paisleys St James’ Playing Area, and it didn’t disappoint. Scope to improve next year but not bad at all. The weather, which stayed warm and dry for most of the day helped also. Well done to all those who competed and those who earned a prize.
