Gemma & James || Wedding at The Shore, Loch Lomond

My final wedding of 2018 was a belter! Not only was it a family members’ wedding (on my wife’s side) but Gemma & James are just so in love it was an absolute joy to photograph!

Shooting began with the ladies as usual, bridal prep, details and all the madness that happens on wedding morning – shirt ironing issues, can’t find the brides jewellery, wedding car problems…. All was fine in the end though!
Being active members of the Tron Church in Kelvingrove, naturally they had their ceremony there with the formalities presided over by James’ dad nonetheless! It was a really nice, personal touch.

After a short mingle with teas, coffees and sandwiches we headed along to The Shore at Loch Lomond. Another new venue for me in 2018 situated just beside Loch Lomond Shores near Balloch. The weather threatened to rain but thankfully held up enough to get some b&g shots rounds the walkways behind the venue and by the Loch.
Following the speeches and dinner, it was onto the cake cutting and first dance. Well you might be able to spot below that their first dance was somewhat planned and very very well received! This led perfectly into the ceilidh which keep the dance floor packed all night.

A final moment worth mentioning was the newlyweds exit from the venue straight into their mini-moon! A huge tunnel with all the guests formed as they waved farewell to the happy couple – something I’d not seen in years but such a great idea! Here’s just a snippet of their day…
