Gemma & David’s wedding at the Busby Hotel was awesome. I get excited before every wedding but these guys were just so laid back and open to whatever; I knew it’d be a good one. My time started starting over at Gemma’s parents place catching everyone’s final prep trying not to sing along to Mama Mia in the background! From there it was a short drive over to Holy Name Church for their ceremony. Straight after the ceremony is one of my favourite times to catch candid’s – everyone is usually in high spirits and eager to congratulate the happy couple.
Gemma & David are expecting at the end of this year (they did give me the heads up about this) but one surprise I wasn’t expecting was their plan to reveal the gender during the speeches which was a great idea (and well carried out by the hotel) After the meal, the kids couldn’t stay away form the led dance floor even before the band started. In fact the dance floor was rarely empty from the off – sign of a good crowd and band.
